Ingredients Used
This cheeseburger roll-ups recipe features ground beef and melted cheese wrapped in low-carb lavash bread and can be customized with various toppings and seasonings to create a delicious and healthy meal or snack option.
- Lean ground beef: a healthier choice of ground beef that contains less fat and calories, but still provides protein and nutrients. We chose lean ground beef as medium or regular ground beef will leave a puddle of fat in the muffin tins.
- Low carb lavash bread: a flatbread alternative that is low in carbohydrates, making it a healthier option for those watching their carb intake.
- Cheese slices: a tasty addition to the roll ups that provides a creamy and melty texture, and can be customized with various cheese types to suit personal preferences. You can also use shredded cheese if you prefer.
- Pickles: a tangy and crunchy topping that adds flavor and texture to the roll ups.
- Bacon Crumbles: a flavorful addition that provides a salty and smoky taste, as well as protein and fat.
- Salt and Black Pepper to taste

Steps by step instructions
Oven method for the cheeseburger roll ups
STEP 1: Preheat the oven to 425°F (air fryer method is below)
Lay out the lavash bread on a large cutting board and using your hands, spread out the ground beef across the full length and width of the bread leaving about 1" on all sides.
There is no need to use brown ground beef before baking as it will brown while baking.
STEP 2: Next sprinkle with salt and black pepper and then across the center top with the cheese slices, pickles and bacon crumbles.
STEP 3: Firmly roll up the cheeseburger and then cut it into about ½ inch slices and transfer each slice to a muffin tin sprayed with cooking oil.
STEP 4: Spray or brush the tops of the cheeseburger roll ups with olive oil and bake in the oven at 425°F for 13-15 minutes.
Serve with your favorite dipping sauce like sugar free ketchup or bbq sauce.
There are many dipping sauces that would complement these cheeseburger roll ups, such as ketchup, mustard, mayo, ranch dressing, BBQ sauce, or a spicy aioli. You can also experiment with different flavors and seasonings to create your own custom dipping sauce that complements the flavors of the roll ups.
Air fryer method
Preheat the Air Fryer to 400°F.
Follow the directions above but instead of placing it into a muffin tin, gently place each cheeseburger roll up into the air fryer basket that has been lined with parchment paper or sprayed with cooking oil.
Hold them firmly while placing in the basket so they don't become loose. Air fry for 8-10 minutes and then carefully remove them and enjoy.

Recipe tips
- Don't over-stuff the roll ups with too many ingredients, as this can cause them to fall apart or not cook evenly - aim for a balanced filling that allows for easy rolling and even cooking.
- Let the roll ups cool for a few minutes before removing them, as this will allow the cheese to set and prevent the ingredients from spilling out.
How to store the cheeseburger roll ups
To store leftover cheeseburger roll ups, allow them to cool completely and then transfer them to an airtight container or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or in the freezer for up to 3 months. When reheating, it is recommended to use a microwave or oven to ensure that they are heated through thoroughly.
