Burger sliced in half stacked on top of each other on a bed of lettuce

These Low Carb Jalapeno Burgers have all the feels of a jalapeno popper but stuffed inside of a burger. Stuffed with diced jalapenos, cheese and bacon, it can't get any better than this.

Perfect on the grill for your summer time bbq's or make them in the oven or stovetop. Either way you will love this hot meaty deliciousness. Keeping it low carb on a lettuce wrap or serve it on a keto bun or waffle. You might also like this Low Carb Air Fryer Jalapeno Popper recipe.

    🥘 Ingredient notes

Made with fresh medium ground beef, diced jalapenos, a blend of cheeses, bacon and seasoned with chili powder. The perfect blend of flavours while keeping it low carb and keto friendly.

    • Ground beef: I used ground sirloin but you can use any ground beef you prefer
    • Cream cheese: for that mild sweet taste and pleasant tang makes this pie feel like a cheesecake. I use a full fat cream cheese.
    • Mozzarella: delicate, slightly sour with a milk freshness and all the melty feels
    • Cheddar cheese: I used a marble cheddar as that's what I had on hand.
    • Jalapenos: have a slight level of heat that doesn't overdo it so you can enjoy all the flavours of this juicy burger.
    • Bacon: crispy and chewy, salty and savoury adds that extra yumminess

    👨🏻‍🍳 Steps by step instructions

    ⏲️ Tips and serving suggestions

    • Serve: these low carb jalapeno burgers would go well with an appetizer like my dill pickle chips, asparagus fries or mozzarella sticks
    • Storage: store in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the fridge
    • Cheese: you can use different cheeses in this burger. How about some fontina, gruyere or provolone cheese?

    💭 Frequently asked questions

    Are these burgers spicy?

Jalapenos are moderate to mildly spicy. I can't handle very spicy foods but I find jalapenos mild.

Should I season the ground beef?

Since the stuffing is seasoned with salt and pepper, plus you have the saltiness from the bacon, it is not necessary to salt the beef other than the chili powder.

    Are these burgers keto?

These burgers are have only 2g of carbohydrates, so they should fit into the keto or low carb diet. They are also diabetic friendly, made with ingredients low on the glycemic index.

Do you add egg or breadcrumbs to the burgers

No, the patties are simply made with ground beef. I do not add anything else to the patties.
