This Messy Keto Frappecino is going to be your new summer jam!  It has all the right feels like a robust espresso flavour with a velvety chocolate touch and a creamy gooey finish.  Of course you can always stop in at that coffee chain and pay $5 for this but it wont be as delicious 😉

This Messy Keto Frappecino can be made with or without coffee and has a special chocolate syrup made with dark chocolate and erythritol so it may just be what you need to finish off the perfect frappe.

This can be your summer afternoon cool down or your after dinner sweet treat.  It gives me all the feels and will keep you cool on those hot and sticky sunny days.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate Syrup Drizzle
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 1/4 Cup Dark Chocolate I Use This!
  • 1 1/2 tbsp Dark Cacao Powder I Use This!
  • Pinch of Salt
  • Frappecino
  • 1/2 Cup Cold Espresso (optional)
  • 4 Ice Cubes
  • 1 Cup 35% Cream (or use whatever milk/cream you prefer)
  • 1 Tbsp Cocao Powder I Use This!
  • 1 Tsp Powdered Erythritol I Use This!
  • 1/4 Cup Dark Chocolate I Use This!
  • In Canada I get my Cocopolo Dark Chocolate and Philosophie Cacao Magic from Switch Grocery

Instructions

    Chocolate Syrup Drizzle
  1. Use a medium sized pot and heat stove to medium
  2. Add water
  3. Add Erythritol and stir until dissolved
  4. Add Cacao powder and stir until dissolved
  5. Add Dark Chocolate
  6. Add remaining ingredients
  7. Let it bubble up for about 10 minutes and keep stirring until it gets a little thicker
  8. Then set aside and let cool
  9. It will get thicker as it cools
  10. Frappecino
  11. Add all ingredients and blend for about 20 seconds
  12. Once blended add some chocolate syrup
  13. Optional - Whipped Cream and drizzle more chocolate syrup on top
  14. I also added some chunks of Coco Polo Dark Chocolate

If you love coffee, make sure you use a really strong espresso and feel free to add more coffee and less cream which will also bring down the carb count.  This drink is so versatile and flexible, you can always do more or less of any ingredients, I guess it depends on your tastes and how much “sweetness” you can handle without spiking your blood sugars.
