- Garlic: Adds aromatic depth and complexity to the beef marinade.
- Onion: Enhances the marinade with its natural sweetness and contributes to the overall flavor profile of the dish.
- Baking Soda: Helps tenderize the beef.
- Skirt Steak (or preferred cut of meat): Serves as the protein base of the bibimbap, offering hearty and satisfying bites.

Steps by step instructions
How to make Keto Bibimbap Bowls
STEP 1: In a medium-sized bowl whisk together the marinade with the soy sauce, sweetener, garlic, onion, salt and baking soda. Then mix in the sliced beef until well coated with the marinade. Set aside.
STEP 2: In a medium or large fryingpan, fry the cauliflower rice over medium-high heat until the moisture is removed, stirring occasionally. Once the moisture is removed, pack down the cauliflower rice and allow to continue to fry, stirring every 5 minutes. Do this 3 or 4 times until the rice gets nice and crispy. (See the top tip below)
Remove the rice into 4 individual bowls, then using the same pan over medium heat, fry the beef until no pink remains. (About 4-6 minutes)
Divide the steak into the bowls with the cauliflower rice.
STEP 3: In the same pan over medium heat, sauté the shredded carrots and snow peas to your desired level of doneness. Whether you prefer your veggies with a satisfying crunch or cooked to tender perfection. Transfer to the 4 bowls.
Lastly, fry the 4 eggs over medium-high heat in the same pan until crispy edges are formed. Remove from pan and transfer the 4 eggs on top of the 4 bowls and enjoy.
How to serve the keto bibimbap bowls?
Once the bibimbap bowls are ready, it's time to serve! Here's how:
- Optional Sauce: If desired, you can drizzle your favorite sauce over the top of the bibimbap bowls. Options include gochujang sauce or a sesame oil-based sauce.
- Break the Egg Yolk: Using a spoon or chopsticks, gently break the egg yolk and mix it into the other ingredients in the bowl. This creates a creamy and luscious sauce that coats the components of the bibimbap, enhancing their flavor and texture.
Top Tip
When using cauliflower rice, achieve a delightful crispy texture by dry-frying it in a pan over medium-high heat. Spread the cauliflower rice evenly in the pan and cook it without adding any oil. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and continue cooking until it turns golden brown and crispy on the edges. This method adds a satisfying crunch to your bibimbap bowl!
