Top Tip
Adding More Jam: If you prefer a stronger fruit flavor, feel free to add more no sugar added strawberry jam when folding it in. Just keep in mind that adding too much may alter the texture and will increase the carb content, so start with a tablespoon or two, and adjust to your taste.
Recipe tips, variations and storage
Recipe Tips:
- Blend thoroughly: Ensure all ingredients (except the jam) are blended well to create a smooth base for a creamier ice cream.
- Creaminess boost: For an even richer texture, you can add an extra tablespoon of cream cheese or a splash of heavy cream.
- Room temperature peanut butter: Using peanut butter at room temperature helps it blend more easily into the mix.
Variations:
- Chocolate peanut butter: Add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder to the base mixture for a chocolatey twist.
- Nutty crunch: Mix in chopped peanuts after spinning for added texture.
- Different jams: Try other flavors of no sugar added jam like raspberry, blueberry, or blackberry to change up the taste.
Storage:
- Freezing leftovers: If you have leftovers, store the ice cream in the Ninja Creami pint or an airtight container. Re-spin it in the machine when you’re ready to enjoy it again for the best texture.
- Freezing duration: The ice cream can be stored in the freezer for up to 1-2 weeks, though it’s best eaten fresh within a few days for optimal creaminess.
