  • Turn on the waffle iron and get it to the right temperature according to your waffle iron. Once hot, brush with melted butter or spray with cooking spray.
    1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Whisk together the egg, cinnamon, sweetener, vanilla and almond milk.
    1 large egg, ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, ½ teaspoon sweetener
  • Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, soaking on both sides, then transfer one slice at a time to the waffle iron.
    2 slices low carb or keto bread
  • Close the waffle iron and let it cook for about 3 minutes or until the edges are golden and slightly crispy. Remove and serve with a sprinkle of powdered sweetener, sugar free maple syrup and berries. (See video)
