Start by boiling the broccoli and cauliflower florets in salted water until they are tender. Then, strain the cooked vegetables and set them aside.
2 cups broccoli florets, ½ head cauliflower, 1 teaspoon salt
Using a potato masher or fork, mash the boiled broccoli and cauliflower until you achieve your desired consistency.
Once mashed, add the remaining ingredients such as unsalted butter, heavy whipping cream, salt, black pepper, and grated Parmesan cheese. Stir until all the ingredients are well combined.

If the mashed broccoli and cauliflower is too thick, you can add a splash of vegetable broth, dairy-free milk, or water to thin it out. If it's too thin, you can simmer it on the stovetop to evaporate excess moisture, or add more cooked vegetables to thicken it.
