Carnivore week 3 of 12. Leg cramps seem to have gotten better. I still have cravings for sweet tings tho. Definitely noticed a difference at the gym. Been feeling stronger and increasing my weights. Pooping is better, back to a solid but less bulky dump (I know TMI but some people have ish with pooping so want them to know it does get better). Eating this way does make cooking a lot easier and I am meal prepping more than I ever have. Moving around my fasting days this week due to some lunch engagements but keeping to the same amount of time. #carnivore #keto #meatheals #meateater #meatporn #health #diabetes #type2diabetes #food Real talk Tuesday. Been doing carnivore for two weeks and this is what I’ve discovered so far. This is easy, eating meat is easy for me. In fact, I need to limit how much I eat because I can overdo it sometimes. Blood sugars are currently still pretty much the same. I’ve always had higher blood sugars in the morning but I haven’t noticed much of a difference yet. I am trying to limit my protein to under 6oz per meal🤷🏻‍♂️ I don’t sleep as well as I used to But when I do, I dream like I never have before. I’m hoping over time my sleep gets better. I feel good most of the time but sometimes I can get really tired, like sleepy tired, like I could close my eyes while I’m driving and fall asleep tired 😳 I’ve also been having leg cramps that might be keeping me awake at night. I do take a potassium and magnesium supplement. I salt my food well 🤷🏻‍♂️ Pooping - Stop reading if you don’t want to hear about pooping. I used to be so regular, like clock work every morning after my coffee. A solid dump made me feel cleaned out. Now I still go after my coffee but it’s not a solid dump, it’s very inconsistent, sometimes cloudy, loose or slick 🤷🏻‍♂️ I know without all the vegetable fibres it’s not going to be solid anymore or at least for now. I think eating cheese helps me. Does it ever get better? Weight-loss - I’ve mentioned that I’m doing this to get my A1C below 5.5 mmol/L and weight loss is a benefit but not my main focus. Since I often get asked, I am down 6lbs since I started two weeks ago. Overall I want to continue as I am committed to doing this for 3 months and will decide afterwards if I want to keep it up. If I didn’t see any improvements and was struggling I would stop but so far it’s manageable. My first social engagement will be tomorrow at a work luncheon at a country club 🥴 I have to go and I need to rub shoulders with people I don’t know 😎.
